1908 Elegant English Sterling Silver Toast / Letter Rack Asprey & Co

Presented is a fine antique English sterling silver toast or letter rack. This piece is dated 1908 and was made by Asprey & Co. The rack is made in an elegant, classical form, with six slots. The rack stands on four ball form feet, and has a simple loop handle at the top. Great for its intended use of serving toast, but also very useable as a letter or napkin rack.

This piece is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard\'s head for the city of London, the date letter n for 1908, and the maker\'s mark for Asprey & Co (Charles & George Asprey), as well as \'Asprey\' and \'London\' spelled out.

This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The toast rack measures about 5 ½ by 3 ¼ by 3 5/8 inches, LxWxH.

This piece weighs 171 grams or 6.0 regular ounces.
