Friends of Fable was the Rex theme in the 1910 Mardi Gras.The Ball was held on February 8, 1910.It was customary for krewes to provide favors for Ball attendees.In 1910 one of these favors was this gold guilded letter opener 10 1/2 inches long and weighing 150.5 grams. You are offerding on a rare piece of Mardi Gras history that is 108 years old. This Antique Letter Opener is in better than excellent condition. The original gold guilding is intact and shows little signs of wear. The tip is perfect and has not been broken off , like many you see out there.
