The necklace rough circumference measures 28 inches in the neck opening and is 17 inches long when laid longways. Remarkably, the necklace is accompanied by an
original photograph of a woman wearing this exact necklace about 1910 - 1915. A rare authenticating relic for a vintage piece such as this. The necklace is in very good general condition but does have about a dozen beads that have become loose but are retained in a separate plastic bag.
We believe someone skilled and experienced enough could repair and stabilize this wonderful necklace, but alas that person is not among our staff. The necklace and photo were found together and were in an old Southern California estate featuring other Native American (mostly Navajo & Pima) items from the 1880\'s
onward. We bought books from the estate and this was laid in a book. We initially assumed it was a bookmark, but were amazed to find out it was a necklace
and the original photo stored with the piece. A wonderful period work of Native American handiwork.
