A signed copy of Ian Maclaren\'s popular Beside The Bonnie Brier Bush, with etchings by William Hole R.S.A.

Maclarenfound this collection of stories to be wildly successful upon its initial publication in 1894. The illustrations largely depict rural Scottish life and the writinglends itself to a great deal of Scottish colloquialisms. Though the exact date of this particular edition is uncertain, the Maclaren\'s signing has it at 1911.

Illustrated throughout with several photographic plates and a signed card from a previous owner.

CONDITION

In cloth binding. Externally smart, with justsome fading and shelf-wear to the extremities. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright, but with some foxing to thefront andback pages, including the front endpaper. Ink inscription tofront endpaper.Overall: VERY GOOD.
