1912 William Howard Taft Presidential Campaign 1.75" Porcelain Brooch / Pin For Sale

1912 William Howard Taft Presidential Campaign 1.75

Very Beautiful and very rare, 1912, William Howard Taft, 1 3/4", Porcelain / China Presidential Campaign Pin / Broach. This outstanding Presidential Campaign Pin measures approx. 1 3/4" in diameter and features a very attractive, chromolithograph, transfer portrait of Taft in the center of a very heavy piece of fine quality porcelain china. The porcelain disc features a gold gilt rim and is mounted on a brass backing with a broach style pinback. Scratched into the surface of the backing is what appears to be period text that reads "Carnival Week / Pres. Taft / 1912".

We have never seen this particular Taft Campaign item before and we believe that it is not only very beautiful but also very rare!!

This rare and beautiful, turn of the century political piece is in excellent condition - crisp and clean with no staining, foxing, discoloration or damage of any kind to the heavy porcelain disc. The transfer portrait of Taft is exceptionally well preserved with no wear or loss. The gold gilt surface of the Broach style back is also well preserved except for the period identification discussed above.

A very rare and wonderful, 1912 William Howard Taft 1 3/4" Porcelain / China Presidential Campaign Pin / Broach and a fantastic addition to any political collection!!
