We offer for your consideration a 6.25\" bisque Kewpie doll in excellent condition with no sign of issue or damage. From my research, it appeared Kestner made these first bisque Kewpie dolls with a patent date of 1913. It is not marked KESTNER, but the seal stated PATENTED AND COPYRIGHTED 1913. This little doll was from an adult collector and passed down at least three generations to the lady selling hundreds of other Kewpie dolls. This was kept in the showcase for decades and appears free of dust, cracks, or issues. You will note a pen mark on the back, which is unnoticeable from the front.
