Very Rare Antique:Very few items that belonged to topcommandersof the RussianImperialArmy survived to this day.
Condition:Samovar is in very good condition for its age. There are some cracks, dents and small scratches. It has beenprofessionallycleaned but not restored.
Attribution: This samovar isattributedtoLieutenant General of the Imperial Russian Army, Anton Ivanovich Denikin by the signature on its front.Theengravingreads as follows:

This inscription is believed to be written by a Cossack engraver that lived in 1917 in the southern part of Imperial Russia. It is likely he was a Church worker (artist). Many words are written in the old church-slaviclanguage.The samovar appears to be a gift to the general form his Cossack troops, which was a know practice at that time.
