1920\'s NESTOL COMB Permanent Hair Wavers - Orig Box ART DECO - Very Rare, EUC:

This is a VERY RARE Deco Era NESTOL COMB, PERMANENT HAIR WAVER....In Original Box
The device has six 5\" curved combs which are attached together by metal rods with screwsThe rods pivot where they meet the combs which allows them to be moved so the combs sit parallel to each otheror in a zigzag formationThey can also be pivoted so all the combs lie tightly next to each other for easy storageThe extra holes at the ends of each rod are there so you can increase the space between the combsif you wish to create a softer 1920\'s era wave....very cleaver for such a device.
Once the hair is wet and treated with setting lotionthe device is placed on one side of the hair with the combs lying parallel to each otherYou then carefully let go of each comb so they create a zigzag formationand in turn pushing the hair back underneath the alternate combs to create a wave
The comb apparatus is in excellent overall condition finding no issues at all!The box shows some slight staining and some tears of green paper coveringThere is also one 5/8\" corner separation on the lid....all are very minor for a box this old....just mentioned for accuracy, and so there are no surprises upon arrival
Unlike the piece from the internet (paper copies included in the last 4 pics)....which has no elastic threaded through the holes in the combs...this one still has the original elastic which was a part of the original design!Without this elastic, this piece flops around and doesn\'t work at all as designed.....making THIS Nestol Comb SUPER RARE!
