Scarce and early field or hunting vest by the Utica Duxbak Corporation, Utica, New York, circa 1920s, of light brown canvas, the front with four “banks” of fitted pockets for a total of 32 shotgun shells or cartridges, the back with adjustable belt with metal buckle, each of the buttons with impressed Duxbak trademark, size 42, with the original size tag (also reading “12 ga.” and “253”) and red-embroidered Duxbak logo tag on the interior. A bit of minor soiling, and some early ink numbers to shell pockets (evidently for identification purposes), otherwise fine, beautifully preserved condition, the fabric solid, sturdy, and completely sound throughout, with no holes, losses, or fraying.
