      • This loving trophy vase was presented to James J. Davis
      • Inscription reads: Presented to our friend and brother James J. Davis, Director General, Loyal Order of Moose, By Mooseheart Legion, June 30, 1921, at Toledo, Ohio,
      • Apparently this was presented to him during the 33rd International Convention, Order to Moose & Women of the Moose
      • \"It is James J. Davis who is duly honored as Mooseheart’s founder, for he conceived the Child City concept—and tirelessly sold hundreds of thousands of men on the idea.\"
      • James J. Davis – who later would serve as Secretary of Labor to three Presidents, then 14 years in the U.S. Senate – agreed late in 1906 to take on the job of recruiting members into the then-faltering Moose organization, on the basis of eventually using members’ pooled resources to create a home and school where dependent widows of Moose members could take their children.
      • Mooseheart’s continued development continued unabated during the 1920s; the famed five-structure Baby Village and the Campanile, an homage to James J. Davis, were both completed in 1922; 15 more residences were built before 1930.
      • Photo of James J. Davis, U.S. Secretary of Labor and founder of Mooseheart Child City & School, circa July 1, 1921 (interesting to note, photo was taken 1 day after presentation of this piece.
      • Family photo: James J. Davis, Secretary of Labor, with his wife and their children visiting Mooseheart circa July 30, 1921. Mr. Davis was the founder of Mooseheart and director general of the order and therefore Mrs. Davis was recognized as the \"foster mother\" of the children. On this visit, Mrs. Davis directed a general house cleaning of Mooseheart and just before this picture was taken she had assisted in hanging out wash for the orphaned children. — Chicago Tribune historical
      • In addition to being Mooseheart Founder, he also served as Secretary of Labor under Presidents Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover
In addition, he was a US Senator for the state of Pennsylvania
Please see pictures. DO NOT HAVE ACTUAL COPIES OF PHOTOGRAPHS of DAVIS AND/OR THE FAMILY. They were found on the internet.
