This item is an award medal presented to a student at the Newman School, and it remains in its original box. The rear of the fob is engraved (with flourishes!) 1ST PLACE 6TH FORM 1921-1922, has the name of the manufacturer (Dieges & Clust), and is marked GOLD FILLED. The fob has a design that includes red and black enamel, and the fob is suspended from a red and black ribbon. A pinback bar is attached to the top of the ribbon. This item remains in its original box and is attached to a fabric-covered padded panel - appearing to have been removed from the box very few times (if ever). The inside of the box lid has an inked notation (1st place VI) and a small penciled notation (KG 93). Themedal measures approximately 34 x 76 mm (1-5/16 x 3\") overall.

The medal is in very fine condition, and both the ribbon and medal remain very clean and bright. The fob is much brighter than is evident in the photos. The attachment pin remains strong and works well. The box is in good condition, with evidence of handling (split corners, scuffs, etc.).
