Jacopo Robusti, known as Tintoretto (29 April 1519 - 31 May 1594) was an Italian painter, one of the greatest exponents of the Venetian school and probably the last great painter of the Italian Renaissance . The nickname Tintoretto derived from the father\'s profession; dyer of fabrics. For his phenomenal energy in painting he was nicknamed \'Furious\', and his dramatic use of perspective and lightmeans he is considered by many to be a precursor toBaroque art.

CONDITION

In a cloth binding. Externally, very smart with just minor shelfwear and a mark to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Some minor spotting to the first and last few pages but otherwise generally bright and clean. Overall: VERY GOOD.
