This item is an old estate found copyright dated 1924 Jell-O, Genesee Pure Food Company, Maxfield Parrish artwork cover, advertising cookbook, with the cover panels in very good to excellent condition, and with some problems on the inside interior pages. The interior pages have been wet, andsome page adhesions have happened, with one page is still stuck together with one adjacent page. Both covers are in color, and while they are not marked with Parrish\'s name, anyone familiar with Maxfield Parrish will quickly recognize his artwork. The front cover panel is identified as \'Polly Put The Kettle On\', and the back panel as \'The King & Queen\', both from the Erwin Flacks MP reference book, pages 184/186. Cookbook measures about 4-3/8x6 inches, 18 pages; also inserted into the cookbook, and strung together by the same original string, is a 4 page colored insert entitled, Jell-O Ice Cream Powder, but the artwork there is definitely not Parrish, nor is it marked. Flacks also shows (see page 242), a Jell-O \'Package\' with this same artwork, where he pictures what appears to be this cookbook folder with the string hole through the corner, with both artworks, one on front, and one on back, and he values those 2 panels at $25-35 each, or $50-70 for the pair. I have looked for Jell-O cookbooks with MP artwork for many years, and this is only the 2nd we have found. See images for more details. Email any questions to us.
