This beautiful map is a composite of photographs anddecorativedesign forming a powerful pictorial map of the Empire Exhibition that took place 1924-1925. Flamboyant and decorative maps were extremely popular in the 1920\'s thanks to the extradoinary works of Macdonald Gill and those inspired by him, mainly working for the London Underground in map and poster design.This is a very important map, both from a perspective of British Empire history and the London Underground.
