• Inside the cover there is very thick gold colored paper printed with the Masonic symbol on it
• In the first volume, on one of the first pages is a thick piece of canvas and on the other side of it, it looks like a thick textured painted picture of Albert Gallatin Mackey, but of course it must be some type of printing technique.

• The next 455 pages of Volume 1 contain printed accounts of history, terminology, drawings of symbols and people. Very interesting to read.
• In the second volume there is a black and white picture of William J. Hughan in the front who edited this edition.
• There is also another Fraktur page in this volume featuring color pictures of women representing \"Temperance,\" \"Fortitude,\" \"Prudence,\" and \"Justice.\"
• This volume is numbered pages 457 through 913 and has the same type of content as Volume 1.
• On the spine is has these names:

• Charles T. Mcclenachan 33
• Revised Edition by
• Edward L. Hawkins 30
• William J. Hughan 32
Condition:
• Binding is very tight
• Leather covers are in wonderful condition. They do show wear at the top and bottom of the spine. See pictures.
• Some foxing on the inside pages
• If you let Volume 1 open naturally, it will open to page 216, which is exactly mid-point in the book
• On Volume 1 on the first white page inside the back of the book you will see a little tiny cracking in the paper near the binding. Minor.
• Front and page gold colored paper on the inside covers are impressive and wonderful
• Gold paint was used on the edge of all the pages and adds to the richness of the books.
