Description:
Beautiful, heavy 16\" sterling silver platter with a 1925 Gorham mark as well as an additional Bailey, Banks and offerdle mark. The platter weighs 33.5 oz (not troy oz) and is in lovely condition with normal surface wear. I polished the platter with Wright\'s silver polish, but some marks on the back side were not removed and can be seen and felt. This is an estate piece, used but not abused.
I took pictures with various camera settings and light, trying to get good pictures, so there may be differences in color in the pictures. This piece is beautiful, shiny silver and very heavy.
PAYMENT & SHIPPING: Buyer to pay Priority shipping unless otherwise specified. Paypal accepted. The platter will be shipped in a box, well wrapped to protect during shipping. I ship Priority, but can ship Express or other USPS methods at the buyer\'s request.
ABOUT THOSE SHIPPING CHARGES: All packages over 13 ounces must be shipped Priority. When listing the sale, I enter the estimated weight of the boxed item into the sale page and it is then calculated to reflect the shipping charges to your postal zone. I use fashion envelopes only if the item is small and not fragile, but heavier, or items with breakable buttons, delicate or fragile fabrics or very expensive items must be shipped in a priority box for their protection. If I have overestimated the shipping weight of the item, I will refund the amount of overpayment, if it is over $1.00, to your paypal account.
