Description:
Lot of 2 Madison, Wisconsin State Treasury typed Letters with Ink Signatures, "Solomon Levitan". Letters are addressed to a Mr. Abe Hanline and make reference to a Mr. Jacob Epstein who was a well known modernism sculptor. Note that Solomon Levitan was a Jewish man who moved to Wisconsin to escape antisemitism and later became the State Treasurer of Wisconsin. Letters are included with their original mailing envelopes. Approximate size of letter:6-1/2" X 8-1/4" (folded in half as originally mailed).Condition: overall light soiling and opening tears to envelopes. Please see photos for additional condition review.
