Pencil inscription tothe reardetailing thatViveash purchased this work at ChawtonHouse in 2001. Chawton House is a Grade II listed Elizabethan manor house in the village of Chawton. Formerly the home of Jane Austen\'s brother and now a library and study centre for women\'s literature. Austen herself livedin the village ofChawton, where she spent the last eight years of her life.

Samuel Alexander was an Australian-born British philosopher who was appointed to Owens College, Manchester, and became a leading figure at the university until his death in 1938.

CONDITION

In original paper wraps in protective acetate covering. Externally, sound with chipping, edgewear and age toning. Signed \'From the Writer\' to the front wrap. Bookplate of Chris Viveash to the front pastedown. Front hinge slightly strained. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Overall: VERY GOOD
