This is a four volume set of collected reports by the Indian Statutory Commission and The Royal Commission.

The India Statutory Commission was a groupof seven British Members of Parliament of United Kingdom that had been dispatched to India in 1928 to study constitutional reform in Britain\'s most important colonial dependency. It was commonly referred to as the Simon Commission after its chairman, Sir John Simon.

The Commission published its 2-volume report in 1930 which proposed the abolition of diarchy and the establishment of representative government in the provinces.

With relevant maps to volumes present. One map loosely inserted to Volume I.

In original paper bindings. Externally, rubbed with bumping to extremities. All volumes with handling marks to boards. Interim Report with library stamp and ink inscriptions to boards. Volume II with dampstaining to boards, ink inscription to front board and burn mark to rear. Hinges tender to all volumes. Tape repair to Interim Report at hinges and joints. Loss to spines of Interim Report and Volume II. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright with scattered patches of spotting. Tidemarks to Volume II. Annotations to all volumes. Overall: GOOD
