A scarce first US edition of Gawain Edwards\' The Earth-Tube.

A science fiction novel with themes in keeping with the unfortunate \'yellow-peril\' trend prevalent during the era of its publication.

The psyedonym of George Edward Pendray, Edwards\' was elsewhere noted for being an early advocate of rockets and spaceflight.

CONDITION

In cloth binding. Externally sound, there is wear to the extremities and backstrip, with some minor loss to the latter, and a closed tear running down the entirity of the joint, with the backstrip starting.There is also strain to the hinges. Internally, the pages are generally firmly bound, but are spotted and age-toned to varying degrees throughout. There is also an institutional inkstamp to the first page of text. Overall: GOOD ONLY.
