Up for your consideration is a fabulous piece of American history! This is a beautiful 1930\'s all handmade Grandmothers Flower Garden patterned quilt. Quilt measures 73 1/2 inches by 83 1/4 inches. Quilt is made up of tons 1 1/2 inch hexagons. This took a very talented quilter a long time to piece together and then quilt. Quilting is done at 9-10 stitches per inch! The main color is a very vibrant sunshine yellow. There is no fading. Colors are rich and vibrant. There a couple very minuscule storage spots on the back of the quilt and two small storage spots on on the front (please refer to pictures). One flower is beginning to fray (picture 12)There is a good chance these spots will come out with a washing. Spots are only noticeable upon close inspection and do not deter from the beauty of this quilt at all! Quilt is clean and has no odor. Each flower is made up of a solid print center, solid print 6 hexagons surrounding the center, then is finished of with 12 beautiful print hexagons that compliments the solid color. There is a yellow path of hexagons going between all of the flowers. Binding is in perfect shape and is hand sewn. This is a lightweight quilt with thin batting. You would have a hard time finding a more beautiful 1930\'s quilt than this one! This quilter had a beautiful vision and the end product does not disappoint!
