This is a 1930\'s era original all composition Shirley Temple Doll made by Ideal Novelty & Toy Co. (made in USA). She stands 13\" tall - stand is included in sale. Adorable face; her eyes close, but like so many dolls of this age, they are slightly clouded over (see photos). Her blonde mohair wig is still intact, but it is matted down a bit from storage. she has a nice smile, open mouth with teeth and those sweet dimples.
There is some wear to her hands and on one of her arms as shown in the photos. Her head remains upright, but when I move her it does tilt a bit to the side. If she is just sitting without being handled, this should not be a problem. I have shown a small tear on the back of her dress near the button. The socks are original, as is the dress, but the original owner of this doll does question the shoes.
You should be able to see the markings on her head and back in the photos, proving she is original. She is being sold \"as is\" with no returns, so please ask questions or request more information.
NOTE: I am selling this for a friend whose Mother collected Shirley Temple Dolls & other dolls from the 30\'s upward. I am not an expert on this and the collector has since passed on, so neither of us can ask questions of her. I have tried to research some of the other dolls sold on to get the proper words and description necessary for this sale. I appreciate your input.
