Vintage 1930s or 1940s \"P.D.\" Wool Flannel Baseball Uniform. The uniform for sale comes with shirt and matching pants. Quality made heavy wool flannel by Speedline Athletic Wear (tag inside back collar and they are still in business). The uniform is a grey color flannel with blue trim. The jersey has blue felt \"P.D.\" tightly stitched on front chest and \"Acme Coal Co.\" tightly stitched on the back. There is a blue felt #1 stitched on the left sleeve. The is probably a Police Department baseball team that was sponsored by the Acme Coal Co. Quick internet search has a listing of a Acme Coal Co. from Illinois during the 1930s. The shirt is in excellent used condition. There are no tears or rips on the shirt. There is also slight evidence of dirt stains from game use. The original buttons are complete and tightly sewn on jersey. The pants are excellent used condition. There are no tears or rips on the pants. There is slight evidence of dirt stains from sliding.
