1930s Made-by-Hand Mickey Mouse doll:
$22.00

This 1930s Mickey doll appears to be a very well-used, undressed, and handmade Mickey Mouse doll. It was probably lovingly hand made in the US in the 1930s.
In an effort to keep up with the demand for their dolls, Roy and Walt Disney went into partnership with the McCall Company of New York in order to provide the public an opportunity to construct their own dolls, using the same design and methods as the original maker (Charlotte Clark Co.) did. In 1932, McCall produced Pattern #91 which sold, in three sizes, for 35cents. The pattern package contained the 27 tissue pattern pieces needed to create one Mickey and one Minnie doll. A list of required materials, color suggestions, and a hot-iron transfer for creating and stitching facial details.
This Mickey measures 11 inches form top of his head to bottom of foot. Original braided tail attached.
