Circa 1935 Original Vintage Etching pencil signed by California artist L. N. Scammon titled; \"Bridge Towers - San Francisco\". Etching on paper is signed by the artist in the etching and also in pencil below artwork.  Printing plate impression as expected.

Lawrence Scammon Biography (from askART)

Born in San Francisco, CA on Oct. 26, 1872. Scammon\'s father had been the captain of a whaling vessel which came around the Horn to California in the 1850s. After graduating from UC Berkeley, the younger Scammon taught at that school at the turn of the century. He studied art at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute in 1898-99. Most of his sketching was done around the hills of Oakland where he lived most of his life on Buena Vista Avenue. He taught privately and was a designer for Roberts Manufacturing Company in San Francisco. Scammon died in Oakland on Oct. 12, 1947.
