This is an antique Coronation bronze medal in its original box.
It is a coronation medal for King Edward VIII in 1937.
No maker\'s marks or names on the box which is just cardboard with a red and gilt lid.
This Coronation never happened ... he abdicated in 1936 .. but the souvenir companies had been making millions of items before then.
This medal I have seen quite often but not in this MINT - UNC condition.
It has the medalists name or some wording on the right hand side column BRIT S.
It is in good collectable condition with some signs of age and use wear, especially on the outside of the box. No damage to the metalware.
The medal itself measures approx. 44mm in dia.
