1937 Original Photo giant Orangutan, captured by the Martin and Osa Johnson in Borneo and brought back by them last Fall at a cost of more than $7,000, died of pneumonia on Monday at the Bronx Zoo in New York City. He weighed 300 pounds, had an arm spread of nearly nine feet, and was the largest ape of his species ever brought out alive. His diet at the Zoo, or oranges, apples and fresh vegetable, cost more than $7 a day. He was captured after a 2-day battle. When he took refuge in a huge tree, the Johnson\'s chopped it down and snared him with stout nets. Osa Johnson will show motion pictures of the capture when she lectures on \"Into The Jungles Of Borneo\" at 3:30 and 8:30 Sunday at Cass Tech, under World Adventure Series auspices.
