Up for offer here is a small collection of 1930\'s Vintage Newspaper Clippings featuring the 1937 Washington State Basketball team that won the PCC Northern Division title for the first time in school history. The first clipping that I\'m looking at was from right before when they played the Stanford Indians for the overall conference title. It\'s a team photo of the 1936-37 Cougar Basketball team. They were coached by Jack Friel.
The next newspaper article in my hands has to do with the Stanford-Washington State basketball game in Pullman. This was one of two games played in the series to determine the overall PCC champion. The Cougars lost this game 31-28 and would lose the overall series.
Up next is a newspaper clipping titled \"Northern Division Basketball Title Hinges On Their Games This Week-End.\" It features Cougar players and Coach Jack Friel.
The last clipping is titled \"They Hope To Defeat Oregon And Bring State College A Championship.\" This clipping features pictures of 6 Cougar basketball players. The captain of this team was Bill Dahlke.
These old newspaper clippings aren\'t perfect but they are pretty good given their age. I got them at a local sale and now they can be yours. Happy offerding!
