Three issues of Poetry of Today, an additional \"extra\" of Poetry Review.

Poetry Review is the magazine of the Poetry Society. Founded in 1912, shortly after the establishment of the Society, its editors have included such poets as Muriel Spark, Don Paterson, Adrian Henri and Andrew Motion.

The set is comprised of three volumes: issues 44 [the second of 1937], 48 [the second of 1938] and 50 [the fourth and final of 1938].

A fascinating insight into the late \'30s, each volume features over 100 separate poems with a huge variety of subject matters and styles, with verses titled everything from \'The Village Green\' and Soliloquy of Apollo\' to \'To Miss Greta Garbo\' and \'The Cigarette\'.

With striking, uniformly typeset paper wraps.

Scarce.

CONDITION

Bound in original paper wraps. Externally, a little rubbed with some curling, discolourationand minor loss to extremities. Some tidemarks to edges in places. Front hinges a trifle strained.Internally, firmly bound. Some occasional spotting, tidemarks from wrapsto first pages. Otherwise very bright, clean copies.

Overall: GOOD ONLY with VERY GOOD interiors.
