Description: This1940\'s - 1950\'s \"Carnival Chalkware\" measures 9-3/4\"Popeye with his Arms Folded & he is smoking a black Pipe. He is also winkingbecauseone eye is open and the other eye is closed. The main colors are yellow, blue and red. The front of Popeye is painted with glossy paint. He has a skin color face and arms. His hat is blue as is his shirt. He has a red nose and checks and a red collar on his shirt. His eye is blue as is his closed eye. His pipe is black. His pants are white and his shoes yellow. The back of the figurine is white and has not been painted.

This Figurine is made out of plaster of Paris. Chalkware was used to createinexpensive versions of decorative objects such as figurines—so many smallfigurines like Kewpie dolls were given away as prizes at carnivals, the piecesbecame known as “carnival chalk.”

Measures 15-1/2\" Tall x 4-1/4\" W.
