An antique glass photo frame with silver overlay covering the edges and also bordering the photo area. Couldn\'t find a mark but most likely sterling. The silver overlay is on the edges, sides and wraps around to the back.
U.S. Navy emblem at center top which measures approx. 1 1/2\" x 1 3/4\".
Photo area: Holds an 8\" x 10\" photo or little smaller. The overlay surrounding the photo measures 7 1/4\" x 9 1/4\"
Overall: 10\" x 12\"
HEAVY, THICK glass with rounded corners. Any marks in the photos are reflections. Velvet back with an easel stand.
In very, very good vintage condition without any breaks. Pretty sure there are no scratches on the glass. The easel in not broken. The little nut on back of one rosette will not screw on completely but rosette still looks fine from front of frame. Might need a bit larger nut. The silver is in great condition and the emblem is all intact.
The photo of the young sailor is dated in pencil \"1944\".
