Description
Up for offers is a classic 1 1/2\" wide by 4\" long empty front striker matchbook from a 1940s World War II Era Movie Theatre Chain in Michigan -The back of the colorful RWB cover pictures a hand giving a thumbs up captioned \"Movies for Morale\" and features the same, smaller image & reads: \"Movies for Morale. August is America\'s Greatest Movie Season at all Butterfield Theatres\" on front-The Butterfield chain operated 10 theatres at it\'s peak, 9 in Michigan and one in Virginia-Where the striker should be there is a slogan reading: \"Strike your light with arm of might!\" (I\'m guessing this has something to do with war time rationing since strikers are made from petroleum grit) with only light wear with the minuteman symbol captioned \"For Victory! Buy United States Bonds & Stamps\" inside-A nice vintage item ready for display. Postage on this item is $ 2.00.
