1941 FDR INAUGURATION PASS for TREASURY DEPARTMENT FDR'S BODYGUARD:
$35.00

For sale is an interesting Treasury Department "Special Day Pass" for FDR's 20 January 1941 inauguration. The card was previously owned by it's bearer, US Secret Service agent Gerald Behn. It is countersigned by the General Counsel and Chief Clerk, presumably of the Treasury Department. Behn was on the Secret Service, and this card likely has something to do wit FDR's protection during the event.Behn served numerous presidents, including FDR, Truman, Eisenhower and Kennedy. He was the top White House secret service agent under Kennedy, and was notably on vacation the day Kennedy was assassinated, leaving security to lower-in-commands who by many accounts bungled his protection.
