This striking miniature Royal Doulton figurine is the wonderful Janet, a picture of feminine beauty in an elegant pink and purple gown.
For any lover of Royal Doulton figurines, this beautiful exampleis evidence of all the reasonscollectors covetthese lovely ladies:the finely detailed work,the glorious design andthe sheer beauty of the fine bone china.
On the reverse is the green underglaze Royal Doulton mark and to its right is the number 15. Using the standard formula of adding 27 to the number to the right of the mark to date a Doulton figurine, thatindicates that thisfigurine was produced in 1942, making it 75 years old.
All of the Janet figurines produced in that era were designed by Leslie Harradine.
The artist\'s initials - BT - appear to the left of the mark. \"M95\" is written below the mark along with the English pattern registration number 778640.
Also onthe base is a handwritten label from anantique shop, indicating the date range of 1936-49 and an asking price of $300.
The figurine is approximately 4 inches tall and in great condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains or repairs.
