Abraham Lincoln Plaster Bust cast by Jo Davidson (1883-1952). Looking at it I would swear it looks to be made of Bronze but base is definitely a plaster. Made in Alva Studios in New York. Davidson was a famous impressionistic sculptor of the first half of the last century. Many of his works are in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. This casting was done in 1943.

On the back it has Jo Davidson 1943 . Bust in about 10 inches high on a 4 in by 4.5 in base. These bust are in high demand and rather difficult to fine. See pictures
