Very rare and fascinating, original 1943, Document Signed by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt accepting the credentials and authorizing one Roberto Quesada Jimenez to serve as Consul General of Costa Rica at San Francisco, California.

This original, hand signed Document measures approx. 23” by 19 1/2” and is dated June 11th, 1943. It is signed by Franklin D. Roosevelt as President of the United States and Cordell Hull as Secretary of State. The Appointment features a large and very attractive, embossed seal of the United States State Department which is affixed at the lower left hand corner.

This outstanding, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Signed Document is in very good condition. It is printed on a high quality, parchment type paper which is intact and sound but somewhat soiled. There is no edge wear, chipping, tears, repairs or physical damage of any kind except for some scattered, tiny insect holes as can be seen in the scans below. The signature of FDR is extremely dark, bold and beautiful with no fading or loss but with some minor bleeding of the ink at the edges of the strokes.
