***Blue Note 12\" 78 rpm disc***This week a lot of nice early and fairly rare Blue Note releases on 12\" 78 rpm discs.
Two classic compositionsplayed by Art Hodes\' Blue Note Jazzmen. One side composed by King Oliver & Louis Armstrong, the other by Ben Bernie and Maceo Pinkard (a tune everybody knows as the theme song of the Harlem Globetrotters).
Art and the fella\'stake these 1920s tunes and manage tostay true to the old style while also updating the sound togive it a more modern feel. Great swinging sides!
