Very good condition original WWII British Commando Royal Marine Beret.

10” diameter

Eyelets measure 12mm across with 6mm inside diameter.

Silk draw string,

Black leather sweat band

Black cotton lined.

Color is a very dark forest green and is very difficult to get the true color through the camera.

Does not glow under a black light.

Unable to read the white lettering on the inside of the cap.

And can barely make out the date stamp to the right of the size.

But the upper letter is an M which indicates 1944 manufacturing.

Some slight moth hole damage. See Photo\'s.

Overall in excellent condition for it\'s age.

Received this message through :Greetings - Just FYI, this is not WW2 issue, nor is it RM Commando. There beret is for the WRAC (Women\'s Royal Army Corps), as evidenced by the teardrop shaped red flash and the metal grommet into which the slide fastener of the badge is inserted.
