This is an original press photo. This is a story of a coincidence, Tuesday is the anniversary of Abraham Lincoln\'s birthday. Recently Father Augustine Walters S.J., treasurer of Marquette university, was going through some old papers in the vault and came upon a fragment written and signed by Lincoln. One of his tasks in Springfield, Illinois, on his birthday, February 12, 1845- over 100 years ago- was to write and sign this statement on a piece of ordinary paper.Photo measures 10.75 x 5.5inches. Photo is dated 02-10-1946.
