DESCRIPTION : Here for sale is a RARE PORTFOLIO of exquisite BEAUTY and ARTISTIC IMPORTANCE . It\'s a HAND SIGNED ( Twice ) and INSCRIBED art portfolio which was published around 70 years ago in Eretz Israel ( Then also refered to as Palestine ) by the JEWISH ARTIST , The HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR Avraham ( Also Abraham ) GOLDBERG . The ART PORTFOLIO is HANS SIGNED and DEDICATED with PEN in YIDDISH on its FRONT PAGE and also with PENCIL in HEBREW on one of the PASTEL REPRODUCTIONS . The portfolio consists of 16 loose extremely heavy excellent stock plates with uncut margins with tipped in reproductions of Goldberg\'s PASTELS . A few accompanied loose TEXT PAGES on similar stock. The portfolio was published in 1947 by \"AZ\" in JERUSALEM and printed in PARIS . Goldberg has been called the \"Jewish Rembrandt.\" His paintings are known for depicting the \"Jewish soul.\" Goldberg used the technique created by Rembrandt to draw light onto the subjects in his paintings. Avraham Goldberg Poland, 1903 – Tel Aviv, Israel, 1980 Avraham Goldberg was born in Poland and immigrated to Palestine in 1919. Studies: Art Academy, New York. Lived in Paris and Tel Aviv. His portraits and paintings reflect the life of Polish jews before the Second World War and are a reminder of the large portion of the European jewish population destroyed by Nazi Germany.Goldberg has been called the \"Jewish Rembrandt.\" His paintings are known for depicting the \"Jewish soul.\" Goldberg used the technique created by Rembrandt to draw light onto the subjects in his paintings.
