The Omega calibre 321 column wheel chronograph movement is one of the most reknown and revered of chronograph movements ever made, and was produced by Omega from 1949 until 1968. During this two-decade run, less than 14,000 calibre 321 movements were produced, and it has become one of the most collectible of chronographs! Prior to 1949, the movement was designated as CHRO, starting with its introduction in 1941. Here is a classic 1948 vintage Omega Seamaster calibre CHRO two-tone triple-register chronograph with excellent aged original signed silver satin dial! Here\'s the details on this classic Seamaster calibre 321 predecessor: OMEGA (\"Seamaster\" Calibre CHRO Chronograph) - Excellent 35mm signed stainless steel snapback case (reference K02907) with thick 14k gold shell bezel and lugs and round chronograph push buttons at 2:00 and 4:00, signed 17 jewel calibre CHRO 012 T2 PC chronograph movement (#114970xx), excellent aged original signed silver satin dial with three sunken registers (constant seconds, minutes to 30, hours to 12), raised gold arrow markers and raised gold Omega logo at 12:00, gold dagger hands and chronograph sweep seconds, signed original crown, lizard strap with signed gold finished buckle. The serial number on the movement places the date of production of this piece at 1948. The watch is in excellent condition for this vintage! The stainless steel snapdown caseback is in excellent condition, and is signed Omega on the inner caseback, and marked, \"Waterproof\" on the outer caseback. The signed 17 jewel calibre CHRO 012 T2 PC chronograph movement is running fine, keeping good time, and all chronograph functions work as designed. The hours register \"wanders\" when not chronographing, as these calibre 321s were wont to do. The silver satin dial is original in excellent condition with aging, and is signed, \"Omega, Seamaster, Swiss Made.\" This is a highly collectible vintage Omega chronograph, the same calibre and immediate predecessor to the calibre 321.
