Up for sale is a vintage tin windup Circus Clown made by TPS of Japan. The clown measures 5 1/2 inches or 14 centimeters high and it is complete and all original. The clown is in excellent, original condition. This is an all tin, very colorful windup with very detailed patterning and a great expressive expression. The surface of the tin has a terrific gloss and the colors are rich and very, vivid. The windup motor works great. When wound, the clown motors around in an erratic pattern while furiously pumping his arms and legs. It is a lot of fun to watch. The tin windup is not perfect, there are some small scratches and chips in the paint, nothing major. TPS made some of the most intricate, interesting windups of the 1950\'s and this is a classic clown toy. The clown is pictured on page 65 pf the great TPS reference guide Japanese Toys Amusing Playthings From the Past. Thanks for looking!!!!
