1950\'S TIN TOY GLOBE WITH SPACESHIP AND SPUTNIK:

This extremely rare toy was made by Michael Seidel in Zirndorff, Western Germany
His trademark is M.S over a Chamios and his comany was founded in 1881. The toy itself does not have a name anywhere, nor on the box
It is really hard to put an exact year on these globes, despite hours of research. I used a process of elimination to assertain that this globe was made pre 1960 due to French West, Equatorial Africa and the Belgian Congo having ceased to exist by then, but of course it can be no earlier than late 1950\'s as sputnik wasnt produced until, i think 1957
It has started to rust and is missing a small (non important) piece off the top and the original key is missing (I have included a donar key) ,also there is a small split in the plastic on the spaceship
It winds at the base and this thing works brilliantly, it really does.It\'s just an amazing piece
The hand crafted box is included, although i have to admit it\'s not much of a box anymore. It has tears and sellotape and pieces missing (i do not have the pieces)
