When you insert a penny a paper ticket with a questionappears. When you insert another penny the next ticket has the answer to theprevious question….along with another question!

This is a fun novelty item that demonstrates the greatingenuity and Americana of the 1950s.While some versions of these countertop vendors issued fortunes, this IQversion required the patron to actually spend at least 2c to get both theirquestion and answer. It’s a brilliant design!

We have had a few of these in the past few months - this one has a really clean mechanism. Please look closely at all photos. The cabinet color is red.

There were several versions / editions of cards createdfor these machines. This particularmachine has the SERIES F cards – There is a complete set of 500 New Old Stock cards in the machine.

As with all vintage mechanical items, the machine may not always dispense a paper ticket- - sometimes they get hung up inside. But overall it’s a great vintage piece! I did try it with a penny and the first question popped right out!
