1950s Jewish Israel Hebrew Rug Carpet Temple Menorah Star Of David Iran Persian:
$499.00

This listing is for a circa 1950s Persian hand knotted rug or carpet picturing the 7-branch temple menorah, 2 Israeli Flags, a star of david with the Hebrew letter tzadik for Zion, and floral decorations. It sales \"ISRAEL\" in Hebrew.

This Persian rug was made with wool and has a cotton back. There is a label attached to the back which reads \"HANDICRAFT MADE IN IRAN.\" This rug has obviously never been walked on and is in wonderful condition.

I\'m estimating this to be from the late 1940s or early 1950s shortly after the formation of Israel and while the Shah was still in power in Iran.

This measures approximately 25\" x 17\".
