Mid Century Floor Lamp
I have up for sale a beautiful True Vintage circa 1950s give or take Mid Century Modern Floor lamp with matching 19\" fiberglass shade. This is a gorgeous lamp, features a 15\" diameter turquoise top gold trim table section and a black and gold base section and stem. The shade which I believe is original to the unit , looks great together , as the turquoise in the shade compliments the lamp.
The pattern on the fiberglass shade has gold vertical lines against a turquoise backround , there are also white designs, not sure what shape you would call them, they are disseminated around the shade but are more abundant in some areas and sparse in others , it is Not uniform.The lamp stands approx 56\" tall with the shade, it has a glass diffuser shade that the 19\" turquoise fiberglass shade sits on . The shade measures approx 9-1/4\" tall, 19\" at the bottom and tapers to approx 17-1/8\" at the top. The lamp itself stands approx 50\" to the top of the socket enclosure and the table section is approx 15\" in diameter. The lamp minus the two shades weighs a little over 8 lbs.The lamp has a single Mogul Socket , it works fine. The switch has a large letter F which is the trademark for Frankelite Co - Diamond Lighting Equipment - Cleveland , Ohio. A small firm which I can not find alot of information about, they are well known for their art deco sconces and light fixtures.
The shades will be shipped separate from the lamp for obvious reason to do with packaging.
I hate to take things apart as sometimes things don\'t go as planned and I have no familiarity with how this lamp would break down. So when it comes to packaging I would like to keep the lamp in one piece but this makes for one large box and adds to the cost of shipping. It might be possible to take every thing apart but then you would be responsible for assembly and I know most people do not want to fuss, they want to purchase it and use it without hassle. So unless you contact me prior to purchase to work out packaging details the lamp itself will be shipped in one large box and the glass shade & fiberglass shade will be shipped in a separate box. Do not contact me after you have paid and then tell me how you want it done, contact me prior to purchase , otherwise its my call and it will be as I see fit.
Because of the odd size, I will need to purchase a special order box. This will add 3 - 4 days handling time.
UPON RECEIVING THE ITEM - ONLY THROW OUT THE BOX AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM AND ARE HAPPY THAT THERE ARE NO DAMAGES.
IN THE RARE EVENT YOU RECEIVED THE ITEM AND IT IS DAMAGED -CONTACT ME ASAP - KEEP THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS JUST AS THE ITEM ARRIVED AS THEY WOULD BE NEEDED TO HELP PROCESS THE INSURANCE CLAIM. YOU WOULD BE REQUIRED TO HELP WITH THE INSURANCE CLAIM . SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING , YOU WOULD NEED PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AND INNER BOX , AND PICS OF THE DAMAGED ITEM. WITHOUT THESE PICS, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND IF I CAN NOT PROCESS THE CLAIM - YOUR HELP IS REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE. I PACKAGE TO THE VERY BEST OF MY ABILITIES BUT SOMETIMES THINGS HAPPEN THAT ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL. I hold the right to ship in an alternative method of shipping if I deem it more safe because of the items fragility , issues due to size, etc.
