After the close no allowances can be made from the stated charges. This is done to ensure a fair sale for all. Other buyers take into account the cost to ship the item in their final/high offer, if the cost is lowered after the sale end there is no way to determine if other buyers would have been higher with a lower shipping cost. If there are any modifications to the stated shipping charges, I need to be make all buyers aware of this prior to the end of sale.While you may feel the shipping charges are excessive, many factors go into the calculation. There is the actual postage, then an estimate must be made as to the insured value(this cannot be billed separately), there is also the cost of packaging which may include, boxes, envelopes, labels, peanuts, bubble wrap, etc. These items are not free. Also, I do not do this for free and my time is valuable, if it takes me 10 minutes to pack an item and the cost of my time is a modest $12/hr(UPS charges $35/hr), that is an additional $2 in costs. There is also the cost of driving the item to the post office, if I pack and drive 10 items at a time to my local PO 10 miles away, the cost is roughly $3.90/Gal divided by those 10 items or $.39 per item. There is also now the added cost of fees tacked onto shipping charges, for instance if the actual cost of the items above all total $5.00 the actual cost to me is about $5.50 with the additional fees, I am sorry but the associated fees are passed onto the buyer. So as you can see the actual costs of shipping an item far exceeds just the cost of the postage on the front of the box. If you feel that the costs to ship the item are excessive then I would appreciate you passing on offerding on my items.International Buyers: I am going more to shipping via Priority Mail overseas do the fact that there is proof of shipping. If I ship First Class Mail I may be required to refund all payments even if an item was actually delivered.I accept Paypal!!!! Orders, $ and Cashiers Chek will be accepted only on items you designate that you will pick up or if you do not live in the area those items your representative will pick up. All items designated by you as pickups will have a handling fee equal to the quoted shipping cost. I usually ship within 3 business days from receipt of payment, via the USPS. Many times I ship out the next day, I know most of you are excited about your purchase so I try to get it to you as soon as possible. I do combine shipping if you are offerding on multiple items. I use excellent materials and take care in the packaging of your items, so that they arrive safely under normal conditions, an insurance claim will never be denied by the courier because of improper packing. That said I strongly urge the purchase of insurance for items that may be lost or damaged due to improper courier handling.
