Offered for sale is this most excellent example of the \"Bimbo in Clown Car\" tin wind-up, made in U.S. Zone Germany by Biller c. 1951. The piece measures about 4 5/8\" long x 3 1/8\" high and is in excellent condition: the colors and the detail are still quite strong, there is no damage to the tinplate other than some tiny scratches on the bottom and the wheels, and it shows very little wear (should be evident in the pics). The mechanism seems strong and works well: wind it up and the little car drives along in eccentric circles while Bimbo rocks back and forward (it does not, however, come with a key). This little toy was reproduced later by the French toy company Joustra, which is differentiable by the Joustra logo on the back and a grill that spells out Bimbo. Also, this little toy is printed with \"MADE IN U.S. ZONE\" behind the front wheel. Please check the photos as they are intended to supplement and add to the description.
