Up for sale here is an original antique Pirate mug made by Royal Doulton in 1951. This is the larger version that was made, measuring at 7 1/2\"inches tall. This piece has a lip for pouring, much like a gravy boat. The face of the pitcher bears a grinning Pirate with black hat bearing the skull & crossbones emblem. The Parrot on his shoulder doubles as a handle for the mug.
The base has text reading:
\"Hand made & Hand decorated\" with the Royal Doulton crest, along with text reading:
\"Royal Doulton LONG JOHN SILVER - D 6335 Modeled by {signature} / copyright Doulton Tableware Limited 1951\".Condition is excellent without chips, cracks or crazing. Colorful glazing is in great shape. The lip of the mug is smooth & free of chips.
