Up for your consideration is a vintage Dartmouth Pottery of Devon, England hand made dish commemorating the Coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II in June of 1953. The dish is brown with a three-dimensional gold profile of the young Queen Elizabeth II, with a crown suspended over her head, laurel wreaths on either side, and a banner below reading Elizabeth R - June - 1953.
The coronation dish measures about 5 5/8 inches across and weighs 7 1/4 ounces.
The back is marked: Dartmouth Pottery Devon - Hand Made in England. Inside this circular mark, is an image of some creaturesplaying in a boat on the water. There are two small holes in the rim suitable for hanging this plaque.
The coronation dish is in very good, vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are a few stray marks on the surface of the dish; the most noticeable one is at the 2 o\'clock position (see the last photo for the best view).
